10.5.2 Leopard. Should I get an update
![]() |
10.5.2 will be bundled when you buy a new macbook MB4xxx, macbook pro MB1xxx these days. Should I get one this Leopard version? The answer is you bet! Apple will update its OS in every few months since its initial release to fix bugs and securities problems.
As long as you own the leopard version, the update will be free. Just click on the Apple logo on your upper left hand corner and choose ‘Software update…’ It will then connect to the server looking if there is any update version for your Mac. (make sure you have a working internet connection).
Beside this method, you could also set the system automatically to check to the server if there is any update for your system once in a day, a week or a month. I choose ‘daily’ since I am online 24 hours a day
Remember that if you have a stable internet connection, just go ahead click the install x item(s) button, otherwise click on the Update menu and choose ‘Download only’. This method will download the update first and install on your system when the packages are all downloaded to your system.
